Helpful information to get you started:

  1. If you need an Integrated Utility Meter and Load Center see our FAQ on how to select the appropriate Combination Service Entrance Device (CSED). For an All-in-One, Meter Main or Solar-ready CSED, you may use the CSED Easy Selector link. For additional options for Load Centers beyond what's provided below - please see online Digest Section 1.
  2. Do you need a Load Center (residential style 14.5" wide enclosure) or a panelboard (commercial style 20" wide enclosure)?
  3. Type of service, single or three phase? (Homeline only applies to single phase.)
  4. Do you want QO (shielded, tin-plated Copper Bus) or Homeline (tin-plated Aluminum Bus)?
  5. Do you need an indoor or outdoor Load Center? (If Indoor and QO, do you want a Surface or Flush cover. On Homeline, all covers are included in the catalog number but ordered separately on QO.)
  6. Type of Load Center, Main Breaker or Main Lug? (Main Lug means there is no main disconnect in the load center.)
  7. What is the max. amperage size of the service (e.g. 100, 200A, ...)?
  8. How many total spaces does the Load Center require? Also, will you be using any Tandem breakers? (A Tandem breaker is 2 circuits in 1 pole space.)
  9. If QO is selected, will a Plug-On Neutral arc fault breaker Load Center be required? (All convertible mains Homeline Load Centers are Plug-On Neutral design)
  10. Verify the Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) of the voltage system to ensure correct Load Center for the application
  11. Schneider offers many accessories for QO & Homeline Load Centers (see Section 1 of the Digest)
